EMBODIED VIRTUAL AT LAF
The next step was to initiate a workshop / experiment during our workshop week at LAF, which is an off-space for music, culture and art
laf-ev.de. To the discourse around virtual reality we wanted to add a perspective which has a very real focus: the perspective of the body. With the guidance of dancer Dario Wilmington, we strengthened the connection to our bodies before entering virtual space (for most participants for the first time). From this position we then started to explore, play and create with the help of the program gravity sketch. This day brought, besides a lot of fun creating and designing, a very vital discussion on the topics of virtual reality and ourselves in this space. It is now planned to further explore this concept.
